I know I said I was gonna cool it on the posting but! I felt this was relevant and important!

So as I’ve said before. I am a Photographer/Photography Student. My job is to make people look good. I work in a studio where 75% of what I do is post production work.

Just now I spent about 3 hours retouching ONE picture (granted I may have taken a little extra time and effort since this specific image will be in my portfolio specifically to show my retouching skills) 

The girl in the picture is my younger cousin. Naturally she is a very beautiful girl (Although she does look a little shiny and a tad disheveled but that’s because we live in Florida and I had been dragging her around with me out side all day for these specific pictures.)

Anyways! look at the freaking picture, honestly before I retouched the picture, I thought it was okay I knew it was flawed but when I finished it almost doesn’t even look like her

I’m posting this specifically in an effort to let people know that ALL of the pictures you see in magazines, in stores anyplace! are  RETOUCHED!!!!

I mean even pictures in peoples houses are retouched trust me! we shoot family portraits at our studio sometimes and it takes me at least 30-45 min to retouch them before we send them to print.

So please keep that in mind next time you look in a magazine and see some 6 foot model that looks like she weighs 2 pounds.
